Working parents and after school care

| Wondering if there are creative solutions to after school care for preK and K aged kids. Any thoughts? |

| Our DCPS has a before/aftercare program. We don't utilize the before care but we do use the aftercare. It starts right after school until 6:30 pm... (though not on half days). |

| unfortunately, our dcps aftercare program has no spots for preK kids and the one other program that does pickups doesn't accept preK kids either...so we're trying to figure out what else we could do. thanks though! |

| I'm also trying to figure this out. My child is rising Kindergarten, and although his school offers after-care, it won't be available 5 days per week because of high demand and sibling preference. One thought I had was to see if I could find another family in the same school that might be willing to do a nanny share for after-school. |
