Results were emailed. Waitlisted in the mid 40s for Sligo Creek. It sounds it’s unlikely or has there been movement on these wait lists before?

For kindergarten? I believe you have a chance most likely after school starts. I seem to remember the wait list going to the late 30s or so last year by roughly the start of school. It moves faster after school starts if there’s an open spot. But it could go either way.

Interesting intel! My kid has a waitlist number in the low 40’s for K at Sligo creek and I figured there was no chance.

Is there a way to keep tabs on waitlist movement? Or do you only get an update if you’re offered a spot?

They won't send you an update but the office will answer questions. I'd check in with them closer to the start of school if you're still interested.

Usually less than a handful of spots for 1st (at our school at least). There can be significant movement for K in less in-demand schools due to people applying for everything they can from far away and then deciding it’s not feasible.

I know they got to the early 30s by the start of school two years ago. I don’t know about last year but would guess it was similar. And I don’t know how much deeper it went after school started, but there’s always movement then (and a lot of people decline those offers).
