Does anyone know ... are the MSA tests for third and fourth grades the same test with different ranges to determine proficient vs. advanced, or is it actually different tests for each grade? |
It's a different test for each grade and the purpose is to determine whether the school is meeting the minimum standards for adequate yearly progress in terms of academics. It has nothing to do with planning for individual students. That being said, a low score on the MSA and cause a school to decide to evaluate a child for services. |
Thanks! |
