ISO white murano glass chandelier

I would love to have a vintage or new one of these... has anyone shopped in Italy for one, or is it possible to get a vintage one on Etsy or in a store for under 3k?

I bought a custom-made Murano chandelier from Italy and wish I hadn't. I picked a chandelier I liked from a very reputable website, spoke with the designer extensively, asked them to customize the colors, and asked them to make it to exact dimension. It was too hard to do that kind of custom design remotely. The chandelier is lovely, but it's not what I really wanted.

However, I love Murano and would simply recommend that you buy one that you can check out in person. Chairish lists where their vendors are--you could go in person. I'm not sure about the under 3K part. Or you could go to Venice? Definitely not for under 3K, but it would be fun!

There are so many things that could go wrong with shipping and installation, OP. Do not buy yourself a $3k problem…

1st dibs or chairish but maybe not for that price. I’ve bought a few antique chandeliers, and shipping has never been an issue.

I HIGHLY recommend you do it!!! I bought a chandelier from Murano about one year ago and LOVE it. I have no regrets and it was a pretty seamless process. I bought from “Sogni Di Cristallo” and got the “Damocle” one in gold with 6 lights. It was really hard to choose which one to get because so many are so beautiful. But after narrowing down the selection based on size, style, and my desire to have something not impossible to clean, I finally made a choice. It was FAR less expensive than many chandeliers I saw in the states and soooo much nicer and more unique. I swear it makes my dining room! I did a lot of research into Murano glass makers and this company was one of the less expensive ones who also had a great selection. The people were incredibly responsive and nice too. I loved the chandelier so much that I ended up getting two table lamps in addition later on. I also love them. I used a licensed electrician to install the chandelier but I unpacked all the pieces and read ALL the instructions in advance. There were a lot of pieces and I was scared that it wasn’t going to turn out well, but it did and I couldn’t be happier. Also, the packaging was AMAZING. there’s NO WAY anything could break AND they sent extra pieces just in case you break something down the road. I wouldn’t get one second hand (even though im a big believer in second hand furniture) because it might not be wired for the US. This company wires according to the country they are sending to. Plus most of the second hand ones are more expensive than a new one! This is the site: https://www.sognidicristallo.com. It was a huge leap of faith but my parents had a Murano chandelier when I was growing up and I wanted one so much that I took the plunge. I’m so glad I did!!!

Just posed the link to website again. Looks like first link didn’t work. Another point I wanted to make, just make sure you do calculations to determine appropriate sizing. And they had some amazingly beautiful ones that are really intricate but I discounted them because of cost and also they would be soooo hard to keep clean.

Thats beautiful! No suggestions but I also share a love of Murano glass chandeliers.

My father owns a restaurant that has gorgeous Murano chandeliers and sconces he bought in Italy in 1981. Customers regularly offer to buy them off him and he refuses. I have called dibs on a few of them for my home when he decides to retire!
