Do you socialize with your neighbors if you WFH?

Anonymous
Friends and family have always implied it's weird that I don't socialize with my neighbors since I WFH. The thing is, I don't understand the logistics of it? We have a new next door neighbor who's a SAHM, so she's also home, but between her being busy and me, you know, working all day, I don't understand how hanging out would work. Do I just show up with two cups of coffee one day then bail after 15 minutes when I need to get back to work? Am I missing something?

Because your friends and family know that you are working. Like now, how could you post on here at this time when presumable you are “working?” They know.

It's almost like salaried employees are allowed to take breaks.

I mean, you can socialize with them in the evening or on the weekends, but no, that’s weird to socialize during the workday.

Yes.

Dog play dates and one set sometimes goes to same exercise class as us.

I socialize with my neighbors in the evening and on weekends, but during the day we're working. We all WFH. I see them taking calls outside sometimes, but that's it.

I try not to socialize with them mostly ever lol. But during my work day? No. I've never heard of people doing that.

I do not socialize with my neighbors when I WFH. I also try not to socialize with my co-workers when I go to the office.

Nope, our dogs bark at each other and we wave, but that is it.

Obviously this thread wasn't directed at narcissistic sociopaths.
