| Friends and family have always implied it's weird that I don't socialize with my neighbors since I WFH. The thing is, I don't understand the logistics of it? We have a new next door neighbor who's a SAHM, so she's also home, but between her being busy and me, you know, working all day, I don't understand how hanging out would work. Do I just show up with two cups of coffee one day then bail after 15 minutes when I need to get back to work? Am I missing something? |
| Because your friends and family know that you are working. Like now, how could you post on here at this time when presumable you are “working?” They know. |
| *aren’t working |
It's almost like salaried employees are allowed to take breaks. |
| I mean, you can socialize with them in the evening or on the weekends, but no, that’s weird to socialize during the workday. |
| No it's weird. |
Sure, dcum is like taking a break. |
|
Yes.
Dog play dates and one set sometimes goes to same exercise class as us. |
| I socialize with my neighbors in the evening and on weekends, but during the day we're working. We all WFH. I see them taking calls outside sometimes, but that's it. |
lol! |
It literally is? |
| I try not to socialize with them mostly ever lol. But during my work day? No. I've never heard of people doing that. |
| I do not socialize with my neighbors when I WFH. I also try not to socialize with my co-workers when I go to the office. |
| Nope, our dogs bark at each other and we wave, but that is it. |
Obviously this thread wasn't directed at narcissistic sociopaths. |
