Can I ride post-sickness weight loss?

Anonymous
I was sick for over two weeks and lost nearly 10lb. The thing is, I was still eating, only much smaller portions focusing on protein. I was also not dehydrated, living on warm teas and juice cut with water. I’m now feeling better and don’t want to gain back the weight I lost during my illness. Is it possible to successfully do this? I do weight training, cardio, macro counting already, fwiw.

Seems you are still ill.

What do you mean? I’m currently on a weight loss journey and would love to keep this extra weight off!

Yes - continue what you've been doing!

Yes. Just expect a small bumb when you get back to your exercise routine. You may have lost some muscle while you were sick.

I did this! It will take some diet changes and real discipline but it is possible. Don’t think you can cheat though! It’s a very slippery slope back to those 10 lbs.

When I was younger I could. Once I hit my late 40s, the weight came back rapidly unless I was on a very strict diet constantly.

I’ve never been able to. Once I’m better, I usually gain the weight back, with a little extra.
