Help! Prom Dress Code

| DS16 announced this evening he needs a suit by Friday to take a girl to Prom. I'm from another country and have NO idea about prom. Where can we find a suit by Friday? I'm pretty clueless about shopping. We live near Montgomery Mall. Any suggestions which shops to look in? Anything else I need to know? |

| Not sure about suits at that age (do they still rent???) but the girl might need a wrist corsage? |

| Men’s Warehouse. Find out what color dress the girl is wearing so he can get her a corsage (small floral arrangement that goes round the girls wrist) while at the florist get a flower for him to put in his lapel |

Is that something that has to be ordered in advance from a florist? Do all florists stock these around this time of year? |

| Looks like there's a Men's Warehouse on Rockville Pike and there is a Macys nearby. Should a regular suit be fine? He doesn't need a tux, does he? |

| He should find out what his friends are wearing. What color the girl is wearing. I just saw a photo of a friend's kid. Girls all wearing long dresses. Guys wearing suites, with regular ties and dress shoes. It was senior prom, so maybe that made a difference. No tuxes. |

| Lots of black suits at prom last week. Regular ties matched color of girls dress. All wrist corsages— order this first thing tomorrow. Giant or any florist does them but they do sell out. The girls bought boutonnières for the guys. |
