I just moved here and I am having the most difficult time finding a new colorist near Arlington. I just want single process blonde color with a handful of blonde highlights. Money is an issue and I am trying to find someone moderately priced. I went to Frizzles in Alexandria and was not impressed with the cut and blowdry, but the color was decent, and I also tried Miracles, where I liked the cut but didn't like the color at all and thought the stylist's personality/voice/etc was just too much to handle! (And I am really not picky about these people's personalities, this guy was on another planet).
Help?? |
| Rebecca, who owns The Studio in Arlington, is awesome. Been going to her for years. I think their prices are reasonable, based on my conversations with friends who go elsewhere. I think I pay about $125 for a partial highlight, but she does a lot in a partial. They just moved to a nice new space in Shirlington Village. No website, unfortunately, but the # is 703-465-5551. |
| Rafique of salon rafique is known as one of the very best colorists. He is an artist and a very nice man. |
| Salon Rovina on Lee Highway in North Arlington. Rovina and her brother are both great colorists. They use a lot of product so the color really lasts. Reasonably priced too. At least 5 of my friends have switched to them and everyone is very happy. |
| I go to Kambiz at The Studio in Shirlington-this is their third location in 7 years. He does a one color process on me (dark) and with a cut it is $110. They have new staff members there too. Convenient location as well. |

If you're willing to travel to SS, I'd suggest Roxi at Alchemy. She's one of the best I've ever been to.
not cheap - but worth every penny (or $20 . . . ) |
I second Salon Rovina. I go to Rovina but Royston is awesome as well. The color they do really lasts and while I love the color, my haircut always grows out so nicely. Their website is salonrovina.com |
