In any given year, Norwood typically has a few students leave to go to a single-sex school at third grade and/or fourth grade and then again at sixth/seventh grade. A few here or there leave to go to another co-ed school. There really isn't much attrition. The school helps with non-eighth exmission to the extent that they fairly fill out recommendations, make deadlines, and support the child in the spring as he/she starts thinking about leaving friends, etc. Their heavy exmission efforts focus on eighth grade placement. At eighth grade, they have a fantastic and effective process with a support structure for both student and parents.
