Any High Schools in the Alexandria area that have smaller classes?

We have a teenager that will be starting High school this fall. I am overwhelmed, as is she, about the huge class sizes around there. {Fairfax Country}. I am not sure if all the schools are that huge or not. I am just wondering if anyone knew of a safe, clean, smaller class sized school that wouldn't be too far away from Alexandria/DC.

Edison High School is one of the smaller Fairfax High Schools and has an IB program that is reasonably well thought of ... if your child is not on the IB track, the school might still be good but you will hear more negative things about it from some folks.
