Orthodontia..spacers?

My son is getting spacers on Thursday...how much will that affect his eating? Should I stock up on yogurt and soup?

I don't recall the spacers being a big deal at all- I think you could give him some Advil if he complains of discomfort, but I think it was the braces that hurt for a few days.

Yeah, Advil should do it. Depending on the kid, it's tough for a couple of days, but nothing that ice cream won't cure for most kids.

advil before he even complains that first day - he'll eventually complain and it really does help to start earlier. warm stuff doesn't feel so great. doesn't last that long.
