Accepting AAP services or not

My 6th grade child was found eligible for AAP services and I was sent an email saying that I have until May 6th to decide whether to accept the services and send her to a different Middle School or to reject the services and center to her neighborhood Middle School. That is literally all the information I was given to make this decision: The names of the middle schools. I don't know what I was expecting, but I guess I won't get the rollout elementary students get where they're able to visit the center School and learn about their program. I'm so conflicted as what to do and how to come to that decision

We did not get that option this year. We could visit DS base MS though as a part of the transition.

You can can email the schools your questions. You can ask on this site about the schools. Why did you apply? Maybe that will help you decide

Your child is in 6th grade. Ask him or her. Have them see what their friends are doing.

Also, check out the feeder schools and high-schools (our AAP middle school largely feeds to a highschool that is NOT our base; meaning only the 10-12 children from our cohort's base elementary AAP program will transition together for High School, so we opted for the LLIV program at our base middle to have a larger base)
