I grew up in NYC with a post Labor Day start. It always seemed really dumb to me to start so late for high school kids. AP exams were in like May and half the school basically docked around for the rest of the school year. Meanwhile, it was super intense trying to cram all the curriculum in.

I'm concerned that Ilya doesn't have time to knock doors in Falls Church because he travels so often. His campaign has deep pockets so he can afford to put yard signs anywhere he wants (including West Street and Shreve Road in Fairfax county) and doesn't have to engage with his actual constituents in real life.

He is really brilliant; met him once at an alumni affair.

He has a child in the system, so it’s clear he is sincere.

I have also seen him on several news shows (I think mostly NBC?); they consult him as an expert on the Supreme Court and constitutional issues.

Curious who people are planning to vote for. I like Tate Gould and Kathleen Tysse’s backgrounds but still torn on 3rd and 4th votes.

Something with Anderson, Gould, and maybe Ortiz on there. Anderson seems to have put in a lot of work (both door knocking and on his blog) and can dive into the details, and I like that Gould has a lot of experience in education.
