For the Dyson stick people: How long does it go without needing a charge? |
I shamelessly have two cordless Dysons. The older, V8 lasts about 20 - 25min on regular and about 12min or so on MAX which is what you want to use on wall to wall carpeting. I got the V11 Torque Drive last year and if I leave it on Auto mode I can get about 40min. Sometimes less if I'm doing a lot of rugs which ramps up the motor speed thus using more battery. Again, I can get about 12min on Boost which has crazy suction. I really like both of my cordless Dysons but I've seen the Miele stick so that might be what I try next time. The filter on that one seems kind of messy to clean though. I'm sure it's well built as my Miele canister is about 16 years old and shows no signs of slowing down. |
An electric throw. Working from home in a room above the garage, so it's cold. I love feeling cozy all day long. |
I’m interested too. Just waiting until after the pandemic to pull the trigger. |
I didn’t know Miele came out with a stick! |
Is it easy to remove? |
Closet is 72 inches wide by 131 inches long. Went with Closet Sterchers. Best price (similar to Elfa on 30% off sale), creative design, and easy to work with. |
Blue light glasses. I know some say they’re useless, but I suffer from dry eye already and my job is literally me starting at a computer for 9 hours. I’m Asian with a a very low nose bridge and it’s very difficult to find glasses that actually fit my face. Found a company that makes low nose bridge frames with colorless lenses and I splurged.
Also, just bought a Steelcase desk chair and am loving it so far. |
A Eufy - a “robovac” |
Another Dyson V-11 fan here! Its just so easy!
Weber grill. Our last grill died and we went 2 years without one. I am still using in the winter. |
Technically I bought it towards the end of last winter, but I have gotten so much use out of my knee-length water-resistant puffer coat, it's definitely on my pandemic must-have list. Just a no-name brand from Nordstrom Rack, but makes long walks in the cold and damp bearable, like walking around wrapped in a comforter.
I also like my blue light glasses (snagged for $2 as an Amazon deal of the day) and skin care from the Versed line at Target. I wish I had expensive taste but I guess I just don't, since I ended up returning my lululemon and Kate Sommerville splurges ![]() |
I got a made-to-order top from an emerging designer in Los Angeles. I love it. It was made sustainably and is really unique. It was hand-sewn and of high quality. And the designer was gushing with happiness over the fact that I made an order. Support small businesses, even if online ![]() |
Ooh please share name of designer! I bought some powerbeats pro earbuds. I was using big over ear headphones for work calls but they were making my ears feel squashed and my head feel hot after a while, and I really didn't want the apple air pods, and I wanted some that could be used for exercise too. I reluctantly bought the powerbeats pro after seeing a fairly good deal (they were still horribly expensive) and I love them! |
I needed a light, small stick vacuum for small jobs that would have a power brush!
NO NO DYSON!!!!!!! I tried it and it sucked heay, Dysons stick is Heavy, noisy and awkward!!!! Not to mention how expensive it is. I got this two in one puppy for 40 bucks and it is amazing can use as a stick or just hand handle. Oh and I never run out of juice as with all those overrated rechragables. I will never again buy a rechargeable vacuum. This one has a cable and NEVER puts me in the position that is not fully charged just when I need it. ![]() ![]() |
To save trips downstairs, this lets me to make tea in no time.. and so much fun to use. Love it. Stainless Steel Interior and Auto Shut-Off
It takes about 2 minutes to boil 5 cups from cold to boil. Cute blue light goes on as you turn it on and tells you when water is ready. ![]() |
