President Obama, show us the way

He had 8 years and didn't do crap.

He was a good President. Led us to eight years of peace and prosperity. An inspiration to many of us. What do these lunatics expect out of government? The righting of every wrong - real or perceived - from the last 400 years?

He bombed more countries than any US president since Roosevelt. He spied on journalists. He spied on you and me. He killed Americans in drone attacks who were never charged with a crime or indicted. He smuggled guns to Mexican cartels to create crime south of the border to force calls for gun bans here. He weaponized the IRS against political enemies. He left Americans to die in our embassy despite having the means to rescue them. He couldn’t grow an economy.

But he looked and sounded good reading from a promoter.

Obama created this mess.

Yes he should have never let Trump take office. On that we can all agree on.

This is crazy.

It’s like the satire account Titania McCrath is mainstream.

Sometimes it’s just too much to handle.

Because if he wins things will calm down? You are a special kind of stupid.

DP.
I, for one, do not wish to reward these rioters, socialists, and anarchists with their goal.

+1. Joe is so weak, his strings are being pulled from the left. A Biden win would be a victory for this set.

Zzzzz. All of this is happening in Trump’s America. Why doesn’t he start a dialogue with protestors?

Haha. Good one. You don't "dialogue" with fruitcakes, PP. Haven't you learned that from all your time on DCUM?

Nationwide protests are Trump’s carnage. He owns it, just like how he owns COVID.

The Obama/Biden administration faced the protests and riots in Ferguson and Baltimore head on. They opened a constructive dialogue with the rioters and protesters in both situations. And they coolly brought an end to those unfortunate situations with no loss of life.

I’m not seeing that here at all with Drumpf. All I see is a fat racist who would rather play golf than engage with his constituents.

What? This is revisionist history. I like Pres Obama, but if we can't talk facts we need to stay out of the discussion.

Agree. This just isn’t true. In fact it was a huge reason I became disillusioned with Obama. He handled Ferguson and other protests/riots terribly. Obama didn’t help stop the riots, He encouraged them.

LOL, so you were all deeply committed to voting against the guy because of incompetence, corruption, Covid failure, or whatever reason, but now that some goofy twentysomethings botched a freelance protest on Wisconsin Ave you're back to all-in on Trump for four more years? Sure.

You’re not paying attention. This kind of thing is happening all o dr the country daily.

I just wish more politicians and public figures would denounce this kind of “protest”. These elites hide in their fancy and exclusive neighborhoods, protected by police, but encourage the thugs to disturb and endanger the lives of regular folks who have to take care their family, make a living, and pay tax.

Riots are good for most except the affected store owner(s) and the occasional injured protestor. Politicians like them as they get the vote out on both sides. Police like them as it justifies their existence and use of force. Media loves them, lot of news and coverage for the advertisers. Bloggers love them as it is something to argue online about. Looters like them, well cuz it lets them loot. Where do your think, “that comedy is a riot,” came from? We all love a good riot.

Unfortunately I think this is true. We nominated Biden after all.

As much as I almost smirk at Conservatives who are 'stuck' with Trump, I can't help but be dismayed at how hapless our candidate is. How could we have possibly nominated the only guy of the bunch that has already had eight years biting the apple?

"We" didn't nominate Biden. He was foisted on us as a hapless schmuck who can be portrayed as palatable to enough people to get him elected but is weak enough to be manipulated by the extreme left wing of the party.

So out of this entire great country, Biden is the BEST person available that can avoid being manipulated by the extremes.

I so wish I could go back in time and have gotten involved in Andrew Yang's campaign. Even the stuff I do not agree with from his platform seems like a breath of fresh air when compared to Joe.

I would love to see Yang vs Romney.

We'd get some intelligent, actual debate.
