I love the "we are doing the best we can line" people use to support doing whatever they want. |
I’m sorry, OP. That has to be so hard. We live in a neighborhood with tons of young children. Everyone seems to be following the guidelines. The only time I see kids outside is when they are walking or riding bikes with their families. People will stop and chat, but they stay far away from each other. Social distancing is an act of kindness and compassion towards others. Unfortunately, there will always be selfish people who won’t follow the rules. |
+1000 It's infuriating. |
YEEESSSS!!! Holy s#%t. You are literally endangering lives when you just "do the best you can". Relaxing social distancing should not be on the self care menu, guys. The DMV area continues to see increases in cases every day. We will never be able to reopen until there is a continuous decreasing trend...getting there is entirely on us. STAY THE EFF HOME AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND KEEP YOUR KIDS AWAY FROM OTHER KIDS! For the love of god. |
This is so dramatic. The vast, vast majority of people with underlying conditions recover. Especially in the age range of having younger kids. Your risk of dying is very low. The fact that people who die have multiple underlying conditions doesn't mean that having underlying conditions means you die. A risk factor doesn't mean you die. |
No one is changing their mind because of you posting here. Literally no one. |
People like you are endangering everyone!!! We’ll have the last laugh when you and everyone you know gets covid!!!! |
Thank you, oh wise one. ![]() |
Yep, we’ll all get Coronavirus and be sick for 1-2 weeks, which is an inconvenience but certainly not out of the norm for having little kids in preschool/day care/elementary. |

Take your balls and go home, everybody. The social distancing deniers are "doing the best they can" and nothing you can say will help. To everyone out there who literally IS doing your best by staying home as much as possible and completely isolating your family...you are my people. And you are saving lives. |
You know it’s kind of ironic but before all this social distancing, I never heard so much talk about neighborhood kids playing outside all day together, riding bikes, etc. If it weren’t for the very important need to social distance, it sounds idyllic.
I realize that it is happening more now because kids aren’t in school, don’t have structured activities and there are fewer cars, but maybe once restrictions are lifted, we can keep more of this unstructured outside play |
That’s how serious the illness is for most people who aren’t in risk groups. Sorry we don’t all have Captain Trips 🤷♀️ |
KidS They have their siblings to play with. |
Get out of here with that s$&t. When it became clear we'd all have to sacrifice to protect the elderly and those at risk, I knew we were doomed. God I hate being right. |
