When the businesses that normally employ illegals, like the Trump golf courses, have to start paying higher wages to attract workers, you will see changes. Most of these businesses are owned by people who support the GOP.

Until average hourly wages begin to increase at an above inflation rate by 100-200 basis points and average hours worked increase the economy is not roaring for the average person. But, it’s better than an increase in the unemployment rate!

Pelosi can keep blathering like the bloated red balloon she looks like about the impeachment inquiry. It won't matter because the economy is fantastic. And we havent seen anything yet. Everyone's 401ks will explode upward once Trump signs a grand trade deal with the Chinese.

It is also hilarious how badly liberals and Democrats want the economy to tank and for people to be out of jobs just so that they can gain political points. Remember back when liberals and the liberal media were predicting economic armageddon because of the trade war? Oooopsie, hasn't happened and the economy continues to rip. The S and P 500 continues to rise and the US actually appears to be gaining the upper hand on the Chinese, whose economy is now slowing and who are now dealing with a lot of unrest. Democrats and liberals can't stand Trump because he is so unorthodox and does not gaf. At least we finally have someone in office who has a spine to stand up for American interests rather than continuing to allow the Chinese to run roughshod over us.

Your hubris makes me happy. Go ahead and ignore those left behind in this economy. Go ahead and ignore the people still struggling and those without health care.

Republicans are elitists who think the stock market means the economy and they love to ignore the half of America that has no sticks. They don’t give a damn about poverty in America and would rather call the poor lazy than figure out how to make the economy work for all.

Except people DO have jobs and we are essentially at full employment. Unemployment is at historic lows and this economy is even better now than duri g the 90s under Clinton. You can't stand the fact that people have jobs, household incomes are rising, and by almost every objective measure the economy continues to fire on all cylinders. We all know you want the economy to implode and for people to lose their jobs because you care more about the democrat party that whether or not your neighbor has a job .

There it is, folks. The cumulative effect of three decades of GOP and Fox propaganda: "The democrat party hates you and wants you to suffer!"

You tell us right here on this forum that you hate us. LOL

It’s benefiting me as I approach age 65. My IRA and 401k are up over 35%. It’s benefitting my elderly mother, living in a senior facility, whose investments are up about 25%. It’s benefitting a friend I’m mine whose portfolio has gone up so much that she is putting the excess in an immediate annuity and retiring two years ahead of time. Lots of regular folks have benefitted.

Now do your contacts who aren't part of the 1%.

Huh? None of the people I named are part of the 1%. All straight middle class with five-figure incomes. Why would you assume that people who have IRAs are part of the 1%?

This is the "inconvenient truth" as Gore would put it!

Definitely. Have lefties become so enamored of the poor and so resentful of those with even minimal success - like earning a middle class salary and saving 15% of it toward retirement - that they deride the latter as the evil 1%? I honestly think the radical left has lost its collective mind!

Let me see if I get this: during Obama's reign, wages were stagnant. Now that Trump has created a pro-business climate with a resulting increase in hourly wages, you're complaining that it's not enough? At least it's something. Give the man a little credit....if you can.

What percent of people with at least a high school diploma have three jobs?

My brother did until he lost one recently.

Cramer said the numbers are “the best” he has ever seen in his life.

“Look, Joe, you and I both know … … you can’t contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives,” Cramer told host Joe Kernen. “You can’t. I mean, we had guns and butter when we were doing these things 50 years ago, and that fall with inflation and recession.”

He continued, “I don’t see inflation. I don’t see recession. Fifty years ago that number was a curse. Now it’s a blessing. And you know something, Joe … it doesn’t matter whether you hate them or like them, these are real numbers.”

+100

What say you now, Dems?!

I'm glad more people are doing better. Seriously, I am. Unlike cons who chortle at the thought of liberals suffering, I don't want any Americans to suffer, struggle, be miserable, not even those who vote Republican. And unlike cons, I also recognize that there are still many Americans who struggle to pay bills, to get health care, to move up in the world. There are still way too many Americans who are homeless and hungry. There are still Americans who are working 2-3 jobs just to get by.

And I still don't want a vile, corrupt bully as the president no matter how fat my 401k is.

Actually, federal workers DID get raises last year AND there is already plans in the work for a raise this year for fed workers. Funny, actully public employees have gotten more raises under GOP govts run by Bush and Trump than govts under Democrats. Obama gave 0 raises while in office.

Wow you cons can't make any arguments without lying. Taking after your overlord.

https://www.federalpay.org/gs/raises

FWIW, Obama gave in to Republican pressure during the years feds did not get raises. He was trying to be cooperative and work with them. See how you don't even give him credit. If he had pushed raises you'd all have been raising holy hell about how fiscally irresponsible he was. But we know that you only care about fiscal responsibility when Democrats are in office. It's a fact.

You must not be in DC. This area is full of liberals with HHI over $300,000. We’re tired of the money we work for being taxed higher than the money billionaires have sitting around or “invested” in things like a yacht that came with tax incentives.

Can someone tell me why the ADP numbers don't match the govt numbers in the least little bit?

Modern economies simply don’t get any better than this one. Please name a single moment in history that was better than right now people!

I’m laughing so hard at all the posters bending over backwards to criticize this economy. Hmm... maybe we should be more like Venezuela or France....
