| When are they going to publish maps of the proposed redistricting? Why don't they just put up the maps and be fine with it. All these surveys and public comments are so tiresome. |
April 12 for draft recommendations, then public comment period, then location decisions on June 21. Redrawing lines to follow final location decisions. https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Handout_ES-Planning-Initiative_FINAL-ENGLISH-Updated-Feb-18.pdf |
| What a freaking joke. The pdf posted above clearly says that redistricting will occur again in Feb 2020 to adjust enrollment. Why are people even engaging in the charade. Nothing you do matters. You won't know for 3 more years what the boundaries are. |
... this is a thread about whether or not Key will be a neighborhood school, which is scheduled for final decision in June. That’s why it’s relevant. |
| Are they deciding this tomorrow? |
|
The staff is supposed to put out recommendations tomorrow:
One Proposal: Recommend strategic placement of option and neighborhood schools, and adjust boundaries to include new schools. Second Proposal: Keep option schools at current sites and adjust boundaries to include the new schools. |
Will proposals tomorrow include new boundaries for both scenarios. I thought they were deciding on option locations and then deciding on boundaries (as separate steps) |
| Will the materials be posted in the engage site sometime today, or will they wait until after the meeting? |
Entirely unclear when they will post them. Everything just says April 12. |
Keep checking Board Docs. They usually post the meeting materials prior to meetings. |
I found this agenda. Is this where they will post the materials? http://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/arlington/Board.nsf/vpublic?open |
Yes, they should post it under tonight's agenda. |
| Board docs recommends swap. What a mess. |
| Ruh roh. Not looking good for Nottingham. |
| This is about to get ugly |
