I like the name Clover. Very seriously considered it as a middle name for our second, who was a happy surprise after years of unexplained secondary infertility. I'm not brave enough to use it as a first name, but I think it is adorable.

Omg, my mom is an Agnes and she always thought ( still does) that it is one of the ugliest names ever. At age two refused to answer when they called her. A cousin was going to be named that and she overheard and shouted out "NO!" so they named her something else.

Names that I love are:

Benjamin, Alice, Beatrice ( or Beatrix), Daniel

NP. This is so funny. This will totally out me, but my grandmother was Oleda, and she HATED her name. All her sisters called her O. She was one of 10 children born at the turn of the 20th century, and they all had "normal" names except for my grandmother. If I have another child, I would consider using as a middle name, but I would never saddle a kid with it as a first name.

There was a Clover in DC's daycare, it is a very cute name.

Alida is (or was) a common Cajun name, but I've never encountered the name spelled with an O. I wonder where your great-grandparents got Oleda from?
