Just curious as to why some chose Lee? You were aware it was a Montessori school right?

Yes, that's why I chose it.

Yes. We were enrolled in a private Montessori preschool before getting a slot at Lee. I did put capital hill Montessori ahead of it in the lottery but, so far, we are happy with lee (except for all the scream crying - is that normal? My last school wasn't like this. maybe it is because EVERYONE is new?)

Yes, I think everyone at the school was aware that "Lee Montessori" was a Montessori school when they chose it.

No, I don't feel bad for Chris or the team at all. These things happen in temporary spaces. Chris chose to close the school when he did. He could have chose to close later like IT did. He had some say in the matter. Lee is not a victim. This isn't healthy folks.

Let that issue die folks. You are responding to something that is several days old, let's move on.

While many of your children are learning Grace and Courtesy here is a a great blog that I think many parents need to read and maybe start implementing themselves.

My son is one of the scream criers. I feel horrible about this and every day I try to talk to him, get him excited and ready for school. Everyday I pick him up he tells me that he had a fun day and he is in good spirits. For whatever reason, this has been incredibly hard for him. He was in a daycare prior, so he's used to the separation. I apologize to everyone who has to witness this. I'm open to any suggestions on how to fix this. We talk about school every day, and I've always reassured him that we are returning to get him. Again, I hope this to will pass. Please don't blame Lee for this, as they are exceptional at helping him calm down and enjoy his day (I'm told the crying stops within 5 minutes of class starting.)

I am glad we are at LEE! Being a new school and being Montessori is such an awesome experience. I am impressed with the methodology, the staff and the Administration. There may be a few kinks here and there as parents just like students are learning more about Montessori but I believe that Lee is and will do great things for our children.

Oh that is my comment. Please don't apologize. For weeks, my kid cried every day at his last school when i dropped him off (and then every day when I picked him up because he didn't want to leave). But he was one of two cryers and the only one to cry in the aftenoon. I am never in the building when there isn't at least one kid crying - not wanting mom to leave, not wanting to go to dance class, other reasons. i am sure it is about the school being new to everyone unless there is indeed something about Monetessori that requies more transition time for little ones (because prehaps eth focus on independence). That was my question really. No blame or angst for Lee or mom's intended.
