Why do beautiful people have ugly babies?

Maybe, but have you ever seen pictures of celebrities without make up? Some are downright scary. I happen to be a guy who likes Jewish and Italian women with very ethnic features so for me Alexa Joel is very attractive. To each their own....

Yes but those are the kids that will grow up to look really good once they hit puberty.
ive noticed that an average looking kid can turn into a very good looking young adult look at Kendall jenner for example watching her grow up on the reality show since she was 9 never took a second look at her she was very scrawny and had just a average face but now look at how beautiful she is.

I have to laugh, because I have a pretty gorgeous girlfriend who has two girls. Unfortunately, both of them, esp. the older one, take after dad. Dad makes the money but mom has the looks. Bummer for the girls.

We had one set of attractive friends who had the ugliest baby I've ever seen. Then, it was really awkward when they'd say something like "isn't this the cutest baby you've ever seen"? Well, no, it wasn't. I think generally that higher weight babies tend to be more attractive since they've had more time to form.

Good question though! I'd like for a geneticist to weigh in here.

Kate Middleton was an average looking teenager, even slightly chunky. I've never thought of her as *beautiful*, but rather pretty/cute. Once she lost weight, plus the heavy makeup and great hair, she looks 100% better. She actually has curly hair, but has her hair blown out.

Heidi Klum's kids are also unattractive. But a lot of these kids seem to have at least one fugly parent and they take after that one. Not sure about why Bruce and Demi's kids are fugs since both mom and dad are individually pretty good looking.

Because they are girls but they look like Bruce. Bruce is attractive for a man but not for a woman.

Karma. Nice people have good looking babies and those who do things like park in handicapped spots when they aren't handicapped have the faces that only Mom and Dad thinks is beautiful.
