Most schools have a date rape culture, they just don't talk about it. Amherst's admin is creating policy to address solutions on proactively dealing with victims, retrain the community et that rape will not be tolerated, and is now prosecuting student-rapists with expulsion. Unfortunately, it took a victim's publicized letter to get them to take student rape and their response to it seriously. Hopefully, other schools will follow their lead.

My DD told me that she's noticing that everyone have reduced the amount of alcohol that they consume at parties.

All 12 schools in the NESCAC are highly selective. Meaning that the athletes have ot have superior skills in addition to an amazing record (GPA and scores). This is next to the Ivy league the most competitive, Williams is one of the colleges in the NESCAC. A figure of 30-40% is not uncommon.

Unlike D1 where they are very forgiving for a less than stellar record, the NESCAC has extremely high standards so no one should have a problem with it.
