It probably wasn't false, it was probably premature, as in next of kin still needed to be reached. I saw a video showing one shot in the head and the other with CPR in progress, so the prognosis sounds grim.

There is a video on X someone took from across the street immediately after it happened. One NG definitely looks gone, the other one it is hard to tell because there is what looks like a bus stop enclosed glass waiting areas in the way with shattered glass. It looks like many police are beating or pulling on what may be the suspect. And there is a random regular person in shorts and a tshirt rendering first aid to a NG person laying on the sidewalk.

Sure, gun control. You go first. What policy is going to take the millions of guns off the streets? Google says there are nearly 400 million guns in the US. It's too late to change this. What we need to do instead is help people understand what it means to respect people regardless of their political beliefs, the color or their skin, their religion, etc. No one should be saying anything other than this shooter is a deranged human and should be punished severely. There is nothing that justifies this behavior.

Whose fault is it that there are 400 million guns and this will only increase?
