OMG. |
We should make it easier to adopt children and make it difficult to get a surrogate. Only one surrogacy should be allowed and must be on medical reasons and through unpaid volunteers like blood or organ donations. |
Where pro-life people stand on paid surrogacy? |
Almost all vehemently oppose it. |
It depends on the state. There is so much baby selling in adoptions certain countries refuse to let Americans adopt from those countries... Guatemala Also, there are some states in the US that have laws so strict it's essentially illegal to have surrogacy... like Michigan. |
Europe bans surrogacy entirely. But they fully support choice. |
But our lax surrogacy laws made it possible. I believe surrogacy should void against public policy with narrow exceptions, like a family member carrying for a couple. Yes, I realize that leaves some people out of parenthood, but IMO the risk for exploitation or women and children outweighs that interest. |
Only up to 14 weeks in most euro countries. |
This couple is obviously receiving a massive inflow of money in order to obtain these children. Who is paying for this operation, and what is the profit motive here? |
I couldn’t agree more! |
Lashing out with name-calling when confronted with the truth of what you support just persuades us that you do support what happened here. |
They had 20 babies so they could traffic them. That is why. I don’t know if it was for their organs or for prostitution and child sex abuse, but it was clearly for trafficking. |
Adoption is not highly regulated and lots of work around. The home study is very basic. |
I am old enough to still remember the Baby M case. |
