nothing it seems, i dont think they need to promise anything, assuming he drops out in any case.

the dems laughed at him. straight up rejected, plus no way his voters would follow him to kamala.

HarrisX, Data for Progress, and Rasmussen just came out with polls yesterday and Trump was up in 2, down in 1. This is not good for Harris, considering she needs to be up by 4 or 5 nationally to stand a chance of winning the battleground states. She’s also trending downward in the polls because the sugar high is wearing off.

A RFK endorsement would be game over for her because a few percentage points one way or the other is a very big deal. Dems in this thread wishing for a RFK Trump endorsement are either being disingenuous out of spite or don’t have a grasp on the state of the race.

Yes, this is absolutely what you should do as a party. I do not understand the hold up.

I honestly think this endorsement is just as likely to backfire on Trump. RFK Jr is down to his true believers now and they will probably be mad at him for “selling out”. And Harris will look more mainstream and normal if RFK Jr and Trump embrace each other in a transparently corrupt quid pro quo (endorsement for maybe cabinet position).

I wonder if this will push more old school non-crazy Republicans to come out in explicit support of Harris/Walz. It's almost a bigger permission slip to call out the crazy.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the analysis of the state of the election above. People are tired of division.

Anyway, PP, go right ahead. Nobody in the left is going to stand in your way.

Harris / Walz are way too far left economically and socially for old school Republicans. Biden and HRC were extremely center right compared to this ticket. By your logic these “Conservatives” would vote for AOC. At a certain point these types of people are just going to sit out the election or hold their nose and vote Trump.

The people supporting him were supporting him because they didn't want to support Trump. He is not picking up their votes. His voters are more likely to stay home.

Did you miss the Luttig endorsement of Harris? I'm not sure anyone is more old school than he is.

Harris is no different than Biden. Why do you think she is "far left" but Biden and Clinton are not?

There isn't a single policy she has floated that Biden hasn't floated or attempted legislatively.

Soviet price controls? Increasing the corporate tax rate? Then you have Walz being strongly endorsed by the Squad. The ticket, not just Harris, is way more left that Biden, Obama, or Clinton by any objective measure. Stop gaslighting people.

Someone like Luttig is absolutely going to be more likely to vocally oppose Trump, or do the Luttig move of actually endorsing Harris, once RFKJ gets on board.

At this point the GOP needs to make this a don't deal ASAP. Just do it already.

So, could you get right on that, guys? This is taking forever, and I'm not really into edging.
