It’s sick.

I guess you concede that Republicans hope to make some forms of divorce illegal if they get into office.

Name the republicans who are going to do this.

Nobody was named in the article.

“All states currently have some version of a no-fault divorce law, but Republicans in Texas and Nebraska list the dissolution or restriction of no-fault divorce in their state party political platforms.

In Louisiana earlier this year, state GOP members debated officially backing the dissolution of no-fault divorce, but no decision was made. “

As was stated: no names.

Ohh I see it’s only real if you can see the names, this way you can pretend it’s not real. Like when you said Roe was safe.

It’s literally been incorporated in the State Republican party platforms in Texas and Nebraska.
We aren’t talking about anonymous Twitter trolls, or even random conservative talking heads/ professional Pundits.
This is an official stated goal of the Republican establishment.

Please listen when they spew ladies. While this is not in the released version of Project 2025, this guy speaks for what will come.

They are not kidding.

So now you know that divorce will be outlawed by Trump- even though Trump has never said he would outlaw divorce, and even though outlawing divorce is not in Project 2025?

You can’t admit you are a theatrical culture war 🤡, but it’s clear to everyone else.

You think men want to live in an America where divorce is outlawed? Nobody does, man or woman. You are so deep into your own delusional political fantasy bubble, d*mn.

It’s scary the way you say “hey ladies, this idea (outlawing divorce) has never even been proposed, but some guy said it, so it’s gonna happen!”

Do you really believe that? You believe Trump is going to make divorce illegal?

He made abortion illegal. Even though he has paid for abortions. He knows the fundamentists to come out and vote instread of sitting home. And when they come out, he will reward them. He is very transactional.

They don't think we buy their obfuscation, do they? I guess if the aim is just to make it so unpleasant to try to engage in conversation, that we stop talking here, well score one for them.

Hmmm, looks like a woman (gasp) has issues with no fault divorce.

She must either be an uppity woman or hate uppity women.

It’s so outrageous that culture vulture, white, upper middle class and upper class women want to designate themselves as being “uppity” to cast themselves as victims. They are so comfortable assuming a slur (uppity) that has historically been associated with racism against black people, and pretending they are being seen and categorized as “uppity” while nothing could be further from the truth.

Liberal white women are so used to their privilege and their power, they even take slurs from black people and pretend they are “victims,” while maintaining their privilege, power, and upper class financial status.

It’s sick.

That's a deflection if I ever saw one.

You may not like or agree with one white woman's word usage, but what about the Republican men who have stated their intention to eliminate the legal right to a no-fault divorce? Does the first negate the latter? Could the first be a problem, but the latter one be an even bigger one? Divorce affects women of all races.

Divorce will be illegal unless a male initiates it.
Women will not have bank accounts.
Women will not have property rights
Women will not be educated.
Women will lose jobs to "family men".

If you don't think this is going to happen oh dear you are stupid.

I think they just keep repeating it over and over again, hoping that we will eventually lose steam.

But people are getting tired of their lies. It will be interesting to see what happens in November.

This is a response to another thread about qualities that actual Christian leaders should display (thread was blocked and traffic directed here). The topic is bit different but I suppose connected enough.

I agree with that OP who laid out Bible verses supporting godly leadership - Herr Drumpf exhibits almost no qualities of Godly leaders. This includes:
Humility
Integrity
Empathy
Servant leadership

Agree with the theology for credible Christian leaders described here:
https://www.gcu.edu/blog/theology-ministry/top-qualities-christian-leader

Given the horrific exploitation of my religion by MAGA (and the murderous Putin who fashions himself as a champion of Christian culture and values) - I am a big fan of the Separation Of Church And State - to protect the integrity of both.

Mark 12:17
Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” And they marveled at him.

John 18:36
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom
were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.
