Whelp, since, despite living here for almost 10 years and being open to friends of any race, I have not met a group of friends to invite to any dinner party, she's doing better off than me for sure.

Dinner parties like that are not very common. I feel like most people spend the Fourth of July barbecuing with family or going somewhere to watch fireworks.

Huh? I'm MC and I don't see anything astounding in that photo. The lack of diversity is a faux pas for sure but come on, I don't see extreme peivilege or excess.

Right? Why would anyone waste time reading about some nobody's opinion who wasn't invited and didn't do some basic fact checking.

One reason people may be reacting so strongly to her in particular (instead of if someone else posted it) is because apparently she wrote a book called “purple,” in which she describes the necessity of making a point in surrounding one’s self with diversity. She apparently claims that she makes a point to do this for her children, too.

Not sure if the above is true or not.
