“ Pitts: Does actress Kristen Bell’s white dinner party matter when it comes to race? Kind of” Here is the article: https://www.fayobserver.com/story/opinion/2023/07/11/pitts-what-does-kristen-bells-white-dinner-party-say-about-racism/70400681007/ |
| She will never be invited back. |
Someone wrote a whole article about it, but didn’t even realize it wasn’t her dinner party? Huh. |
| Oh my, the amount of wealth, ego, excess under the guys of minimalism, and extreme privilege at the table, is astounding. |
| Whelp, since, despite living here for almost 10 years and being open to friends of any race, I have not met a group of friends to invite to any dinner party, she's doing better off than me for sure. |
Lol |
Dinner parties like that are not very common. I feel like most people spend the Fourth of July barbecuing with family or going somewhere to watch fireworks. |

Guys! guys! guise took three tries to get it to spell correctly when using dictation! |
She posted the exact same picture last year with almost the exact same people. The people making noise are the far right. |

+1. This is getting ridiculous. |
Huh? I'm MC and I don't see anything astounding in that photo. The lack of diversity is a faux pas for sure but come on, I don't see extreme peivilege or excess. |
Right? Why would anyone waste time reading about some nobody's opinion who wasn't invited and didn't do some basic fact checking. |
|
One reason people may be reacting so strongly to her in particular (instead of if someone else posted it) is because apparently she wrote a book called “purple,” in which she describes the necessity of making a point in surrounding one’s self with diversity. She apparently claims that she makes a point to do this for her children, too.
Not sure if the above is true or not. |
