SHe didn't let her boyfriend assault her mom. Gigi was away, Zayn was taking care of the baby but told Gigi something that made her concerned about his mental health so Gigi sent her mom over to get the baby. Zayn got angry she let herself into his house uninvited and tried to keep her from taking the baby, saying he was fine and she was overstepping. Not sure exactly what scuffle ensued but Gigi's mom left with the baby. Gigi wasn't even in the same city.

I don’t know anything about the story. So I’m just saying this based on what I read above. Grandparents don’t have rights over parents. So even if GiGi‘s mom was concerned, if the child’s father said no, then she should’ve left. Of course she could’ve called child services or something.
