Nope. They will be reporting on all districts including MCPS. The MCPS report is forthcoming. |
Well, nothing really, but I like to complain and blame MCPS for most global problems. |
Thanks for the gaslighting. I guess you think MCPS is doing a wonderful job managing the teacher shortage and utilizing the funding at their disposal. Please provide examples as to why you are under this delusional belief. |
I appreciate their truthfulness. I'm so tired of these parents expecting the county to raise their children. They need to take some responsibility. |
Seems great to me, but I actually spend time with my kids. |
Maybe since you spend so much time with them, you can go work at their school to fill in with the shortages. |
| None of these thing are new issues. I don’t get the drama. You did not see it before Covid? |
Don’t feed the troll. The teacher shortage is the topic of this thread. |
|
| What's the latest on teacher shortages? Is it the usual shortage of WSTEAM teachers? |
Shortages in reading as well. |
| I would be interested to see data showing how many of MCPS teachers have a conditional certificate. I imagine that number is going to get higher with each passing year. |

What have each of you on this g to read done to support and keep good staff? If it’s a money issue, did you donate a hefty sum of money to help? How many kind appreciative letters/emails have you written to your teachers or admin? Or are 80% of your communications negative? Do you really expect one human to reach to 5-6 different levels of kids simultaneously …and do it well? And be able to attend to all the IEPs? Stop complaining and start acting to change so teachers want to teach here. (No, I’m not a teacher) |
