Packing for 2.5 weeks in Italy in August

Op - thanks for the feedback! I have no problem washing underwear in the sink, but I’ll probably take @10 pair anyway, they are small!
I guess I do have a lot of white, but I wear it often and don’t think I usually get it very dirty. I’ll see if I have other options but I’m not sure I do.
You’re right. I can do with one linen shirt. The coverup is a sort of light but long sleeve tunic that I thought might come in handy if it’s cooler as another layer.

With the exception of the last one, these would look dumpy on most women.

I just got back from Italy and everyone, I mean, everyone, looks great. No athleisure type of clothes like you see all over the US. People look great and fit. Most women are wearing flattering dresses or skirts. I saw a lot of linen. Rarely did I see shorts. I bought a few dresses while there, very inexpensively, as it was so so hot. Italian AC is not like US AC - in other words, the AC just doesn't get a cold. I can't explain it.
Buy shoes that look nice but, more importantly, give you the support you need to walk all over the place. Cobblestone streets, uneven pavements, etc will wreak havoc if you are wearing your cute sandals without support.

Prepare to sweat but also prepare to enjoy a beautiful place and enjoy the food and drink!

Because in Italy (and in the whole of Europe) they try to save energy and are not supposed to lower temperature inside below 80.6 (except in hospitals and certain other places). Just get used to the heat!

Yeah, but I would hate to scream 'TOURIST' with my stupid looking shorts on a European vacation.

I pride myself on the fact that tourists often stop me and ask if I speak English, and for directions. People usually think I'm a local whenever I'm over there.

Maybe not. When we travel to Italy, Italians often assume we’re from the north of Italy. But I’m not American and never wear shorts, tan pants, Tevas, cross-body bags, or any other American tourist uniform, and I’m tall and thin.

OP, I’d maybe skip the denim shorts and take another skirt or a dress instead. But if they’re really short and you have fab legs, just wear them and enjoy all the attention that you’ll get.

I've been following this woman's amazing Italian vacation on instagram the past couple of weeks. She is very fit and wears a lot of things I wouldn't, like crop tops, but maybe you'll find some inspiration here.
