What series did you love so much that you watched it more than once?

I watched so much Gilligan's Island after school as a kid.

Thirtysomething.

Downton Abbey.

Have you found "Northern Exposure" streaming anywhere? I checked pretty extensively and it doesn't seem to stream at all. If you have DVDs, where did you get them and were they legit? (As in, made by the network and not someone's home recordings off their TV screen....Yeah, that's a thing, unfortunately.)

Would love to see this series for the FIRST time. But there are music rights issues that have prevented its being re-run or streamed so far. If you know a way to see it, please advise!

I have what I think is a legal DVD set of NE (purchased a loong time ago). But even the DVD set does not have the music of the original series — and I’ve heard is a big loss.

PP from above -- thank you. That encourages me to try the DVDs. So many bootlegs out there of 1990s-early 2000s series that don't stream (I'm looking for others too).

I had heard that the original music was stripped off and replaced, which seems a pity, since friends have said that the songs used were often comments on NE's themes each week. It's so strange and silly that music rights like that can keep a great, older show off of streaming and reruns. "WKRP in Cincinnati" had similar issues on reruns (you can tell they've replaced some songs). Thanks again. I do hope to see NE soon.

We have a cabin near Roslyn, WA, where they filmed NE and Joel Fleishman’s name is still scribbled in the window of one of the shops! Our DVDs are from amazon and are legit, they came in a furry collector case if that helps you narrow the results. PP is right - the original music is missing but I think it’s still super fun to watch.

Ugh, hate to do it again, but I'm the "where did you find Northern Exposure" PP above. I've been looking much longer for "Judging Amy" which doesn't stream and isn't on DVD except one season in European format, and a bunch of bootlegs (yes, Amazon sells DVDs that are so clearly bootlegged). If that PP iabove s around -- are you talking, back in the day when it was being re-run on cable, or more recently? I watch horrible copies on YouTube which is the only way I've found to see it.

yup. In the era of streaming, I don't rewatch shows in the same way. But reruns? Every dang day. Loved them.

I thought of another one. Three's Company.

YES. So many reruns. So many.

Yes! More of an 80s/90s kid here but so many summer evenings were spent watching Nick at Nite. I loved Mary Tyler Moore especially, should go back and rewatch that someday.

Of more recent shows, I think the only show I've rewatched in entirety was West Wing. And Band of Brothers but that was a miniseries so doesn't really count! There are others I'd like to go back and watch again, like Xfiles and The Americans, but it seems so daunting!

I'm currently on season 5 of Vampire Diaries (rewatching)...and I'm 43. So, no judgement here!
