Summer School Approval

Has anyone received notice that their child's summer school was approved and/or a bill? I haven't yet and wonder if I should give them more time or follow up. Thanks!

Even if the school counselor has approved it, parents won’t receive approvalinvoices until after the summer school office processes the approvals.

They need to see how many teachers they have before they can admit students to classes. My understanding is that is only finalized for most classes after the school year is over.

Serious? That sucks! I’d plan my summer differently if my kid were not able to take a summer class. I hope they let us know soon.

Last year the school let us know we would find out at least 24 hours before the class began. Efforts to find out sooner received a response of “we will let you know 24-48 hours before the class begins”.

Our DD wasn't enrolled in one class until less than 24 hours before the first zoom session. It really isn’t the most family friendly process. That said, I do sense most kids are admitted to the classes they want.

I hope they let families know more quickly this year, if for no other reason than payment is required.

Same. The bill says I’ve already received an email confirming but I don’t see any email. But the bill is there in the school cash website.

Got the bill today.

I'd previously sent an email to ask whether my kid was registered or not, and they said yes.

Revived the invoice today and paid it..damn! It is not cheap

As UMC ( which in DC area is basically MC), you are never given a break, ever. You keep working hard and get no breaks anywhere
