those sticky nipple covers

I usually avoid clothes where I can't wear a regular bra. But I recently got a dress where that won't work - it's got a low back so even strapless isn't an option.

People who have used those sticky nipple covers. Do they actually stay on? Or have you used a backless bra that youve had a good experience with?

I'm not especially big but I am a big old prude and just keep having an anxiety feeling thinking that I have a strap malfunction and suddenly I am revealing a lot more than I intended!

Cakes. They'll seem pricey compared to sticky nipple covers, but they stay on, are comfortable, and you just wash and reuse over and over and over.

When I was less endowed, I would just use band aids to cover the nipples and that worked

Two on each nipple criss crossed. The second one holds down the bandaid so don't get lines from the sides.

The sticky pads aren't foolproof. Also really won't stick if temp gets warm.

Unless your dress has thick fabric, won't that just give you a visible "X" instead of visible nipples? The silicone covers stick to your body without adhesive, even if you're sweaty, and they are totally smooth under any tight fitting fabric. I wore them under all my tanks and sundresses last summer and hardly needed a bra ever. It was so much cooler and more comfortable.

This is OP - and the dress doesn't fit that tightly. I ordered some Nippies - maybe I need to do a test run. And get some tape or big band-aids as a backup.

My teenaged daughter introduced me to the nipple petal/stick ons last summer and they've changed my life! I'm small-chested so can get away with no bra, and the petals make it so natural looking. I get really hot in the summer, especially wearing a bra which is like torture for me. When I started using the stickies, I was cool and comfortable and could wear all the sundresses and sleeveless shirts I wanted. Try them!

Ur not prude. You’re like most women. Shaming works both ways and PP is shaming you into thinking there is something wrong with wanting your nipples covered. I would try cakes.
