This one hurts. Mother of 5.
I enjoyed her stories back in the day and hate to hear this for her.

Man, I loved her books growing up. Reading them as a pre-teen and teen, she provided such a wonderful, warm and funny escape from life as I dealt with mean-girls

Oh that's horrible. I've just read that its a glioblastoma. The worst of the worst.

My BIL was recently diagnosed with a brain cancer at a similar age. I HATE CANCER.

This is so sad. I had an extended family member pass away from glioblastoma last year. They survived almost 4 years after the initial diagnosis, but the end was very hard. It is truly a horrible disease. I wish her peace.

This is so sad. I literally read this news on my way home from a funeral for a friend who was diagnosed with glioblastoma last year, and died this weekend. This is the second cancer funeral in six months for young (40's/50's) friends.

My dad just passed from this a few weeks ago and only made it a few months despite doing all the recommended treatments. The ONLY good thing was that he was 84 when diagnosed instead of 54.

She was diagnosed a year or more ago and just announced this. I’m very sad for her and her family and kind of shook by the news.

I love her books and find them very charming - they always pick me up from a mood and I love that her lead characters are less than perfect, they feel relatable.

So sad. Peace to her family.

Very sad - I read a lot of her books and so did my now adult daughter (who is a bit like the shopaholic character!).

Amazing that she lived 3 years after the diagnosis. I have a friend who lived for 2 years and that was much longer than the prognosis.
