I’ve been doing Botox for 5 years and have decided to give it up. It’s been looking good, but the last time I went my injector had a bad day and messed my face up. I had a black eye for a week and 4 months later have a syringe shaped scar on my forehead. I’ve decided I’m over it.
If any of you stopped using Botox, where there any products you added to your routine to aid in your transition? |
| I’m willing to bet you go back to Botox. I did it once and was too young to notice any difference and haven’t since. I can’t imagine after doing it for 5 years and just stopping. I wish you luck. |
+1 Find a better injector. |
| I waited until I was in my 60s. I like how it lifts my eyebrows and jawline. I go to a dermatologist. I would never go to a med spa. I am late due to various family emergencies and eek. |
| Self-esteem |
| You need to find a better aesthetician. However I too doubt you'll be able to totally stop after keeping it up over 5 years. |
| Are you talking about fillers or Botox? I can't see someone getting massive bruising from Botox... |
Would you mind sharing the name of your dermatologist? |
| Why would she not be able to stop? Do you mean it's some sort of psychological dependence? |
I sure hope she wasn’t doing Botox with an esthetician !!! Ladies ( and gentlemen) , please only go to a dermatologist, a plastic surgeon, or an experienced nurse or PA who is DIRECTLY supervised by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. It’s scary to see how many nurses have taken a weekend class in injecting Botox and fillers and have some pediatrician or internist as a medical director now claim to be nurse injectors. |

Op, do yoga and drink ginseng drink daily instead. Costco and Amazon has the packaged ready to drink. Works wonders for skin.
Among red ginseng benefits for skin we can find that red ginseng is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a powerhouse ingredient in skincare. It helps to reduce inflammation, fight against free radicals, and boost collagen production – all of which lead to healthier, more youthful skin. |
IME Botox makes me look less tired and when it totally wears off I feel like I look bad. I think that’s what pp was talking about. |
Genuine question…does yoga help your skin? I walk a lot but never got into the yoga habit. But I’ll try anything 😂 |
For real? I looked it up on Costco and am skeptical. It’s in pouches? |
| You guys, maybe ginseng and yoga help your skin, but they are in no way replacements for what Botox can do. Let's be real here. |
