microneedling for prominent pores and rens?

Anonymous
I've been using prescription retinoids for 4 years, but have a line of stubborn pores across my chin that just aren't changing. They look great in the morning after I wash my face, but disgusting by afternoon once they fill with oil.

My Derm suggested that I try a series of microneedling sessions. Anyone had luck with this?

Any recommendations for a NW DC (or close-in suburb to NW DC) medspa or other place that may be cheaper than my Derm's office? I've love to shop around a bit, because I don't have room in my budget for what he charges!

How much is your dermatologist charging ? I’m in Northern VA and microneedling sessions are around $350-$400. You can get a 10-20% discount if you purchase a package upfront.

Derm has a 3-session package for $2400. They also do something with blood platelets. Not sure exactly what that means, but kind of freaks me out. Maybe that's why it is so much.

I can't imagine why something nicknamed the "vampire facial" would freak you out.

I personally did not find Microneedling beneficial. I did 3 treatments and my face felt tighter for about 5 days and in a month, no real change. I did it 3 times in 4 months.

That's the one with a shady practice having documented hiv transmission, right?

I was going somewhere for 300 a session and I looked amazing. She moved to Florida and now I can only find microneedling with RF and or PRP and they are charging 800+ a session!
