If you don’t mind sharing…what was the cost of this field trip? I have an eight grader who will be going to the Blair smcs program next year.

There's financial aid. You don't need to provide documentation. Just let a teachers know this is an issue and they will waive the fees no questions asked.

It's only one night or two nights. Why the big question. Is this your child's first time away from home?

OP here. Its 3 nights. My kid is telling me that clothing and shoes are likely to get super dirty. kids need to bring everything: sheets, blankets, pillows, 4 pairs of shoes, 5+ trash bags etc.

Sounds like your kid is on top of things, then. Unless it’s a parent-paperwork issue that might prevent them from going, let them take the lead. It’s great experience for them.

This. It is an exhaustive list. Sleeping bag, bed linen, spare shoes,
Basically everything gets wet so pack accordingly. They will have a wonderful time.
