Mobility Coach/Training?

Anonymous
I committed to getting healthy in 2024. So far I have been able to get my nutrition in order, fixed my sleep, and have really amped up my activity through a ton of walking. I'm pleased with the amount of fat I have lost.

Next up, I need to add some strength training, but what I am really concerned about is mobility. I've seen my older relatives get steadily less mobile- no flexibility, unsteady balance, aches and pains, and stilted movement. I want to avoid that.

I'm having trouble knowing what to do on my own, and staying consistent with anything. I find myself doing random stretches and getting up and down off the floor several times a day, but I'd rather be more intentional/regimented. Can I get a trainer who would focus on this as much or more than lifting weights? Should I join a yoga studio?

A good trainer will assess what you need to work on and combine that with your goals. My current trainer focuses on strength and mobility as it’s pretty evident I am stiff.

Pilates and yoga would definitely help!
