IVF ultrasound & gas

| Hopefully not TMI... I've had several ultrasounds during this IVF cycle in which the technician can't see any follicles on my left side-- apparently because of gas. I have 7-9 on the other side. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you turn out to have follicles on the left afterall? |

Well...I have a difficult to find right ovary...but no one, not RE, not experienced nurse gave up prior to locating and visualizing the ovary.

| No, never have been told that. You could try taking Gas-x to get rid of the gas - it is safe even during pregnancy. |

| Thanks. I fasted before my last ultrasound, and my doctor's office now says I have 1 measureable follicle on the left... turns out gas wasn't the problem. Has anyone else been so uneven? |
