Does light colored leather or dark colored leather show more dirt and dust?

We have only ever had beige leather and we've found it fairly low maintenance. Currently looking at some options with black or very dark gray leather - I'm wondering if this shows every little speck of dust and dirt and is harder to keep looking clean? Can anyone who has had both compare the two?

Thanks.

I’ve never noticed that. I think mine is fake leather though. But it’s dark.

It's fine but it gets hot AF in the summer.

I had light tan leather in my last car and now have dark gray - I can definitely see dust/dirt/hair more often on the dark leather. It's very easy to wipe clean/dust with a soft cloth, and I do like that it hides other kinds of marks (coffee splashes; jean dye). That said, if you can't see it, you're not cleaning it up...

Please make sure it’s pleather. Most are now except for really expensive cars. Cows or other animals don’t need to be skinned for our cars. It’s barbaric.

These are not luxury brand cars we are looking at so I'm not too worried that that leather is real.
