Infertility Support and Discussion
Two weeks ago today we had our first IUI. It was a clomid/FSH cycle and I produced 2 large follicles, both on my left side. Shortly after the IUI I started feeling a "fullness" on my left side, right where my leg creases when I sit down. I think it's too low to be my ovary or a tube, but it's not going away. It's not painful, just bothersome because it feels like something is there. I go in for my beta tomorrow but I got a + HPT for the past three days. Any thoughts what this could be?
I would be surprised if it were an ectopic given that it definitely doesn't fit the common symptoms, but as a word of caution they don't always "hurt" and not where you think they should. I had an ectopic and it didn't hurt and felt like it was more muscular than anything. It sounds like you are doing the right thing by getting it checked out!

If you have been taking hormonal support of any kind, you should read about May-Thurner Syndrome. The location you describe, and the fact that it's your left leg, makes me nervous. Do you feel any warmth when you touch the skin in that area?
Let us know what you learn after your medical exam. In order to receive a doppler ultrasound of that area to rule out a blood clot, you may need to see your primary care doctor immediately or visit the emergency room at your local hospital. Best wishes. |
If you are pregnant, it could be the early muscular changes brought on by pregnancy.
Did your dr. give you advice about the feeling you notice between your upper thigh and pelvic area?
OP here- Yes, just going off the symptoms I described they feel it's a mild case of OHSS, especially since my beta was positive. They said the let them know if it gets worse or more bothersome. Today I haven't noticed it near as much.
