What is with the free-floating cabinetry? |
|
Part of me really likes the original 1950s metal kitchen cabinets. So futuristic and retro.
But WTF is that awful wood half of the kitchen? Whoever thought that was a good idea!? I'd definitely be doing a gut remodel. |
|
So many things wrong with this one.
The entire kitchen So many different types of flooring What's wrong with the wall in picture #12 |
| I like the original kitchen but they should have used retro appliances. That extra counter is hideous. |
It reminds me of a Fisher Price kitchen complete with the random floating piece of cabinetry stuck in there because it didn't fit against a wall. All that's missing are maybe some decals on the wall for the clock that always says 10:10, fake window, etc.

They were trying to maximize light and storage. You don’t need to buy it.
|
Then they failed miserably. |
| I see what they were trying to do there, but just no. |
| It’s a tear down. Price seems high for the location. |
Agree. That wood side of the kitchen is an easy fix if you want to put a wall up or take that all out. Also there’s only two types of flooring. The basement needs redone and porcelainosa has 40% off right now. Its livable |
| Silver springs what do you expect from a trashy area |
|
Those power lines are a deal breaker.
Make sure to when you open the oven door doesn't strike the dishwasher handle. That extra cabinetry would seem easy to remove (not sure if there's flooring underneath)....looks like it was a DIY job. |
It is Silver SprinG not Springs. You are an Ass |

Please stop tearing down every house that is not a 4000 sq ft 5 bed, 5 bath neutral tone "farmhouse." It's okay to have some variety in our housing stock, and many people enjoy these modern styles (which no one builds anymore). That said, the kitchen needs serious help. Often we the houses like this I have a good sense of what I'd do to upgrade the main living areas, but with this one I'd bring a designer and builder in before putting in an offer to tell me what they think makes sense because the size and current configuration are a little tough and I don't have an intuitive sense of how to fix it. Maybe if I saw it in person-- there's something funny going on with the fish eye in those photos. |
