I wasn't thinking. We're trying to get DS to potty train for #2 (he is doing okay with pee-pee during the day). I told him that we're on the last pack of pull-ups and they don't come in his size anymore, and he seems to understand the concept. But of course DH then says "what about night time?" and he's right! Mommy wasn't using her noggin...
DS isn't potty trained at night (will be 3 1/4 months) and while he is aware of having to pee during the day, he sleeps through at night and wakes up with a very wet pull-up. I just wasn't thinking and now have no idea what to do at night if I continue this lovely game of "pull ups don't fit you anymore... ". Do they make nightime underwear? |
Just buy him a different brand of pull-ups. Or get one of the "overnight" diapers. Or, you could really just take it back, say "Mammoy was wrong" and move on. There is a good lesson in that for both of you.
I'd get the old fashioned cloth training pants & rubber pants for night time. More laundry but I've found they help with potty training so much more than regular pull ups.
We went back to diapers for nighttime. Pull ups suck at bedtime anway and you can put squares of cotton in the diapers so he feels wet.
We had started potty training and were doing really well during the day and than she got sick, we put it on pause, and now we started it back up and it was a constant battle... Than I heard and read a few times that if they're still getting wet at night that they may not be ready for potty training.. So we've paused it.. she's only 23 months though.. The putting cotton in diapers is an AWESOME idea!!! I had NEVER heard that before, but will keep it in mind..
