My DC is taking the AP government exam in May. Wondering how early kids study for this since when I ask him, he says, “My teacher told us not to start studying since we haven’t learned all the material yet.”
This seems strange to me since they have all the material they have learned up until this point that they can study, but maybe this exam is different. |
| My kid's AP Gov teacher suggested they begin taking practice tests from a Princeton Review book in March. |
+1 those books have several tests. Start early. Take a practice test early to get a sense of your baseline. You don't want to study everything over a couple of days; you want to space it out and take those practice tests over a several weeks. |
| Thank you PPs. My kid is a good student but since the teacher is discouraging studying less than a month before the test I’ll have to start nagging him myself. |
omg good luck. DD and I have been butting heads over this. I finally just told them to make a study schedule and stick to it. Whether they actually stick to it is up to them. They can suffer with the bad score and having to probably retake the class in college. |
