Anyone know why the MCPS safety and discipline note went out 4/2?

| Is this an indication that there will be a greater focus on safety and discipline, that there will be a crackdown, and/or that there have been complaints or more incidents recently? I was just wondering if anyone had insight into why this note went out, and if we can expect more of a focus from the interim super/in the hiring of the new super. |

Long story short, there's a board meeting on Thursday where an update on safety and security is expected to by given by MCPS staff. Felder's note was her attempt of getting out in front of that meeting and seeming like she's doing something about the situation. |
