what high school summer options beyond MCPS summer school can help increase a GPA over the summer? how to get approval?

If a high school student takes a college class for credit over the summer is that included in the students mcps transcript and gpa? do you need prior approval, if so from whom?

do UMD or Montgomery college courses automatically count? Any help is appreciated.

Talk to your school’s dual enrollment coordinator. There are specific pre-approved courses that count on both the high school and MC transcript. You can also find the list by googling.
