| What are the things that are truly matter based on what you have learned in life so far? |
|
being outside
my body is my temple checking in with myself drink more water use the bathroom hug your kids really listen plan to work, work the plan really works most things don't matter |
| Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with people. Being kind and lessening the suffering of others. Letting go of pettiness. If someone is awesome, I like to tell them that they're awesome...otherwise they might be walking around without knowing it. |
|
You don't need to like everyone and everyone doesn't need to like you. Find your people, and learn to detach when it comes to others.
Time with art and nature is essential to a good life. It's as important as good health and financial stability. Self-acceptance and self-love are keys to good mental health. If you don't learn these as a child, it can be hard to get to that point but it is possible, stick with it. |
| Having close human relationships. People matter more than any. Its right up there after air, water, food, shelter. I think people and relationships are the key to all happiness. |

I care a lot more about prioritizing getting what I want. I used to be more giving thinking that then others would also be more giving. It has never worked that way.
I watch out for takers. |
| The things that DCUM starts fight threads about are mostly irrelevant, but the things that DCUM doesn’t like to talk about have profound impact. |
|
What other people think of you is none of your business.
Keep takers at bay. Keep you eyes on your goals, ignore the rest, because the rest is just unnecessary noise. Take care of you and yours, and enjoy what you have, because it is amazing. Misery really does love company. Keep walking. Feed you body and mind with only the best. Surround yourself with positive, and those with like goals. Surround yourself with those who raise you up, not try to bring you down. |

Eating enough fiber and pooping daily (at least) can make or break your day
Getting enough exercise, particularly outdoors That it's ok to say "no" as often as you want or need in your personal life Ask for what you want. The worst thing that will happen is that someone will say no, and you lose nothing by asking. Don't be a taker, but DO be an asker. |

My time.
All the other obviously stuff - friends, family, etc. But really important for me? My time and often, time is money. I will spend money to save my time. Time to rest, time to be lazy, time to enjoy whatever activity with my kids or DH, time to do nothing. In this very busy world, all I really have is my time. |
Don't sweat over small stuff. All stuff is small stuff. |
+1 I figured this one out too late. |
