What days do you take off for extra PTO?

I have more than I need PTO to burn this year, use it or lose it by year end. I already plan for 2 vacations. And, kids are in day camps most of school off days because they love camps.

During school year, can somone share what school events or school activities is worth for parents to attend and take off work? I will take off a few days for house cleaning anf for "me" time. Any great recommendation what you do during "me" time when kids in school hours from 9am to 5pm in dmv area?

I'd turn the random school days off into day trips with the kids.

I take off Mondays and Fridays, or Tuesdays next to a Monday holiday.

I work 12s so have days off mid week when kids are at school. I love being in my house by myself. Today I walked the dog then swam. Now I’m catching up on Greys Anatomy then I’m gonna go to Target then just hang out at come

Stretching long weekends like if we have a half day Friday taking the full day.

Take my kids’ bdays off to bring them lunch, cook breakfast, avoid travel/mtgs that day.

Take last day of summer and first day of school off.

Take Monday after Thanksgiving off to relax since we do all decorations that weekend.

If I had kids in ES still though I would take the teacher work days off.
