Cross posting from Health and Medicine:
Can anyone recommend a good nutritionist/ dietitian in the DC area? I am trying to get my cholesterol and blood sugar under control- neither is a big problem yet but creeping up and I want to try controlling with diet and exercise before medication. I am eating a very lean, clean healthy diet but the numbers are just not coming down as much as I had hoped. Appreciate any leads. |
Nour is really great.

This might sound slightly biased, but I recommend hiring a Coach! My name is Sergio and I'm a body transformation coach and I work with a lot of my clients on lifestyle habits to transform their health into what they want for themselves!
My tested and successful approach that I use with my clients is that as long as you focus on lifestyle habits like having consistent meals with clean 1 ingredient foods, a big ass serving of protein with every meal, staying hydrated, lifting 3-4x a week, doing activities outside the gym, etc. The result you seek should come as a side effect with being consistent with all these habits! This makes your end goal that much more attainable and broken down. What do you think is missing with your nutrition? What does your current workout routine look like? I've helped a lot of my clients when they were in a similar boat as you. For example, we've worked on building our way up to eating 100g+ of protein a day and this has helped them re-awaken their metabolism. We've also increased their water intake so that they don't feel like shit from drinking something else that might make them crash. If you're interested in talking more, PM me! |
