Help- Week late period and negative hpt's after failed fet prior month

I went through a stimulated ivf cycle in May then a frozen transfer which failed at the beginning of July. Was put on progesterone and estrogen shots for the frozen transfer. Tried to conceive the following month during my ovulation and now I am close to a week late however, I am getting negatives on the hpt’s. I am very regular and have a cycle from 26 to 28 days. Has anyone experienced a very late or missed period after an ivf or frozen transfer possibly due to the shots? I have not had a chance to go in for a blood test to confirm the hpt results.

Funny, I came to this board to post the same question! We are taking a month-long break after a failed FET. Got my period a couple of days after getting the negative result (in early July), but have not gotten the subsequent August period. Took an HPT a few days ago and got a negative. I've always been very regular-- this is the first time I've ever been late.

I did some research online and found other women in the same boat. I think all the hormones and stims and whatnot just wreak havoc with our bodies.Hopefully AF will come again soon.

OP here...you are correct PP. These hormones definitely just wreak havoc on our bodies. I just got a beta test confirming that I am not pregnant nor have I even ovulated! I'm about to start Provera to kick start my period again. Hope I am able to do another IVF cycle soon.

Same poster again. It's good to know there's something to take to kick start AF if needed!

This experience is just one of the many joys of IF, isn't it? Disappointing that a delay in AF does NOT mean pregnancy. Lots of good luck to both of us-- hopefully it will work out soon!

After a failed IVF cycle, I stopped the progesterone and estradiol when I got the negative result from my blood pregnancy test. I got my period a couple of days later. I stopped bleeding after a few days and did not bleed again for over 30 days. Prior to IVF my cycles were also very regular and on the short side (about 23 to 25 days). Even though it took so long for me to get my period, I was not pregnant.

When my period finally arrive, I bled for several weeks non-stop.

These drugs do mess up your body and affect your system even if you were always regular prior to IVF.
